Calais Enrollment Center Global Entry Interview & Appointment Guide

Next appointment in 29 hours

The Calais Enrollment Center sits in a white building at the rear of the Ferry Point Port of Entry, right at the U.S.-Canada border crossing between Calais, Maine and St. Stephen, New Brunswick. It's a small office that also handles NEXUS and FAST enrollment alongside Global Entry, serving Washington County and the easternmost stretch of Maine. Confirm the port on Google Maps before you head over.

No available appointments at Calais Enrollment Center?

As the only enrollment center in this part of Maine, appointment slots here can be scarce relative to demand from the border region. Rather than refreshing the Trusted Traveler Programs site by hand, savvy travelers set up Snapslot to send a real-time text the moment a cancellation opens up, so they can grab it before anyone else does.

Knowing the Global Entry Application Process

  • Submit Your Application: Create a Trusted Traveler Programs account and submit the Global Entry application with the fee.
  • Await Conditional Approval: CBP reviews your background before clearing you to schedule an interview.
  • Schedule Your Interview: This office isn't set up for remote appointments, so an in-person visit is required. If nothing is open, Snapslot can alert you the moment a cancellation appears.
  • Attend Your Interview: Wait in your vehicle in the parking lot outside the enrollment center until an officer comes out to escort you in. Family members are interviewed one at a time; for minor children, one parent or guardian may accompany them.
  • Await Final Approval: Most applicants hear back shortly after the interview.

Preparing for your interview

Bring the same identification you used on your application, such as your passport, driver's license, permanent resident card, or birth certificate. The interview is largely an honesty check, so answer plainly and dress professionally, as you would for any appointment with a federal officer.

Getting to your appointment

Parking at Calais Enrollment Center

Free parking is available on-site at the Ferry Point Port of Entry, including a wheelchair-accessible lot. Remember to wait in your vehicle until an officer escorts you in, rather than heading straight to the building.

Taking Public Transit to Calais Enrollment Center

There's no meaningful public transit to this border crossing. For travelers coming from elsewhere in Washington County or from St. Stephen on the Canadian side, driving is the only practical way to get here.

No available appointments?

Check the Trusted Traveler Programs site directly for current hours and openings, or let Snapslot watch it for you. This office runs on a limited weekday schedule rather than full business hours, so a confirmed appointment matters more here than at a bigger center.

Skip the manual refreshing: Snapslot texts you the moment a Calais cancellation opens up.
