Derby Line Enrollment Center Global Entry Interview & Appointment Guide

Next appointment in 34 hours

The Derby Line Enrollment Center sits right on the Vermont side of the border with Stanstead, Quebec, serving Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. This location has an unusual process worth understanding before you go: for NEXUS applicants, the interview is split in two, with the first half conducted at Derby Line in the U.S. and the second half completed directly across the border at the CBSA office in Stanstead. Global Entry applicants interview here without the Canadian leg, but it's worth confirming which program you applied for so you know what to expect. Confirm the office on Google Maps before you head over.

No available appointments at Derby Line Enrollment Center?

As one of the few enrollment centers serving Vermont's Northeast Kingdom, appointment slots here can be scarce relative to regional demand. Rather than refreshing the Trusted Traveler Programs site by hand, savvy travelers set up Snapslot to send a real-time text the moment a cancellation opens up, so they can grab it before anyone else does.

Knowing the Global Entry Application Process

  • Submit Your Application: Create a Trusted Traveler Programs account and submit the Global Entry application with the fee.
  • Await Conditional Approval: CBP reviews your background before clearing you to schedule an interview.
  • Schedule Your Interview: If nothing is open, Snapslot can alert you the moment a cancellation appears.
  • Attend Your Interview: A CBP officer reviews your documents and travel history in person. If you applied for NEXUS, immediately after your Derby Line interview you must drive north on I-91 to the CBSA Port of Entry on Route 55 in Stanstead and complete the second half of the interview; skipping this step excludes you from the program.
  • Await Final Approval: Most applicants hear back shortly after the interview.

Preparing for your interview

Bring a valid passport (all passports if you hold more than one, or have dual citizenship), your permanent resident card if applicable, and proof of residency such as a driver's license with a current address, mortgage statement, or utility bill. Your conditional approval letter has your PASSID on it, which is useful to bring along. The interview is largely an honesty check, so answer plainly and dress professionally, as you would for any appointment with a federal officer.
