Fairbanks Enrollment Center Global Entry Interview & Appointment Guide

Next appointment in -3 hours

The Fairbanks Enrollment Center sits inside Fairbanks International Airport, tucked in the hallway between the Polar Bear display and the rental car counter, serving travelers across Alaska's Interior region including North Pole and the Fairbanks North Star Borough. It's a small, easy-to-miss office, so ring the bell at the window once you find it rather than assuming no one's there. Confirm the terminal on Google Maps before you head over.

No available appointments at Fairbanks Enrollment Center?

As one of only two enrollment centers in Alaska, this office draws applicants from across the Interior, which can make appointment slots harder to land than the office's small size might suggest. Rather than refreshing the Trusted Traveler Programs site by hand, savvy travelers set up Snapslot to send a real-time text the moment a cancellation opens up, so they can grab it before anyone else does.

Knowing the Global Entry Application Process

  • Submit Your Application: Create a Trusted Traveler Programs account and submit the Global Entry application with the fee.
  • Await Conditional Approval: CBP reviews your background before clearing you to schedule an interview.
  • Schedule Your Interview: This office doesn't do remote interviews, so an in-person slot is the only option. If nothing is open, Snapslot can alert you the moment a cancellation appears.
  • Attend Your Interview: A CBP officer reviews your documents and travel history in person at the window.
  • Await Final Approval: Most applicants hear back shortly after the interview.

Preparing for your interview

Bring your passport book, and be ready to speak to every country you've visited in the last five years. The interview is largely an honesty check, so answer plainly and let your in-person answers line up with your application. Dress professionally, as you would for any appointment with a federal officer.

Getting to your appointment

Parking at Fairbanks Enrollment Center

Public parking sits directly in front of the terminal building, with electrical plug-in service available in both the short-term and long-term areas, useful during Fairbanks winters. A second lot along University Avenue South on the East Ramp is also available if the main lot is full.

Taking Public Transit to Fairbanks Enrollment Center

Fairbanks's MACS Transit system runs a yellow line that serves the airport, along with routes connecting North Pole and Farmers Loop. Given Fairbanks's cold winters and spread-out layout, though, many travelers coming from outside the immediate airport area find a taxi or rideshare more reliable than timing a bus connection for a single interview appointment.

Check the Trusted Traveler Programs site directly for openings, or let Snapslot watch it for you.

Skip the manual refreshing: Snapslot texts you the moment a Fairbanks cancellation opens up.
