Nearby alternatives with a shorter wait

The Nogales Enrollment Center sits at the Mariposa Port of Entry on the Arizona-Mexico border, serving southern Arizona including a drive up from Tucson. It's a working border crossing with limited waiting-area seating, so only the scheduled applicant is generally allowed inside. Confirm the office on Google Maps before you head over.

No available appointments at Nogales, AZ?

As one of the main enrollment centers on this stretch of the Arizona border, appointment slots here can be scarce relative to regional demand. Rather than refreshing the Trusted Traveler Programs site by hand, savvy travelers set up Snapslot to send a real-time text the moment a cancellation opens up, so they can grab it before anyone else does.

Knowing the Global Entry Application Process

  • Submit Your Application: Create a Trusted Traveler Programs account and submit the Global Entry application with the fee.
  • Await Conditional Approval: CBP reviews your background before clearing you to schedule an interview.
  • Schedule Your Interview: If nothing is open, Snapslot can alert you the moment a cancellation appears. Try not to arrive more than 15 minutes early, since waiting-room seating is limited.
  • Attend Your Interview: A CBP officer reviews your documents and travel history in person.
  • Await Final Approval: Most applicants hear back shortly after the interview.

Preparing for your interview

Bring a valid passport book, birth certificate, lawful permanent resident card or naturalization certificate if applicable, and a valid driver's license with a current address. If your license address is out of date, bring proof of residency such as a utility bill, along with proof of employment. The interview is largely an honesty check, so answer plainly and dress professionally, as you would for any appointment with a federal officer.
