How to find a Global Entry Appointment

Global Entry is a program that allows expedited clearance for pre-approved, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. Members enter the United States through automatic kiosks at select airports. At airports, program members proceed to Global Entry kiosks, present their machine-readable passport or U.S. permanent resident card, place their fingerprints on the scanner for fingerprint verification, and complete a customs declaration. The kiosk issues the traveler a transaction receipt and directs the traveler to baggage claim and the exit.

1. Submit your application

The first step to obtaining Global Entry is to submit an online application through the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) website. Ensure you provide accurate information and complete all required fields. The application includes personal information, passport details, employment history, and travel history.

2. Wait for Conditional Approval

After submitting your application, CBP will review it to determine your eligibility for Global Entry. If your application is conditionally approved, you'll receive a notification via your TTP account. This approval does not guarantee enrollment but indicates that you have met the initial criteria.

3. Schedule Your Interview

Once conditionally approved, log in to your TTP account to schedule your Global Entry interview. You'll need to select a convenient enrollment center and appointment time. Interview locations vary, with many available at major airports and other designated sites across the country. It's essential to schedule your interview as soon as possible to secure your preferred date and time.

4. Wait for Final Approval

Attend your scheduled Global Entry interview at the designated enrollment center. During the interview, a CBP officer will verify your identity, review your application, and ask questions related to your travel history and eligibility. After a successful interview, you'll typically receive final approval for Global Entry within a few days.

Northbound Directions in USA: Take I-75 north to exit 394. Turn left on Easterday Ave., at stop sign, turn right on Portage St. Travel approximately ½ mile to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection building on right hand side. The copper building with windows. Turn right into parking area. Public parking is on the right side. Proceed to walkway and enter the building from the elevator choosing the Level 1 Floor Button. This is for both NEXUS, GLOBAL ENTRY and FAST applicants. Directions from CANADA: Take the first exit immediately on right after paying at toll booth. At stop sign, turn right onto Portage St. Proceed to driveway on right side of road marked U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The copper building with windows. Turn right into parking area. Public parking is on the right side. Proceed to walkway and enter the building from the elevator choosing the Level 1 Floor Button. This is for both NEXUS and GLOBAL ENTRY applicants.

Notes

You will be required to present the following documents, if applicable, at your interview: Driver's license, passport for each citizenship claimed, certificate of citizenship (if applicable), proof of address or residency if different from application information (Utility bill, bank statement, address change info.) Birth Certificate original or certified copy only, if needed for minor child or you do not have a passport. FOR MINOR CHILDREN: Birth certificate, passport (if applicable) AND permission/letter from both parents/guardians authorizing the child to obtain the travel document. Please be prompt and timely, adhering to your appointment times. Check in at the office for your appointment and if there are persons in your party who DO NOT have appointments, please ask them to remain in the vehicle or out in the hallway. Only applicants with appointments may remain in the office during interviews. Thank you.
