Yes — you can now schedule your Global Entry enrollment interview from your phone. On September 15, 2026, CBP launched the new Trusted Traveler mobile app, which replaces both the old Global Entry app and the Trusted Traveler Programs app. Along with applying and renewing, it lets you schedule your enrollment interview without logging in to the TTP website.
What is the new Trusted Traveler app?
The Trusted Traveler app is CBP's single app for Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI and FAST. It combines what used to take two apps: managing your membership, and Global Entry's arrival processing at the airport. It's available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
According to CBP, you can use it to:
- Apply to Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI or FAST
- Check the status of your membership or application
- Schedule your enrollment interview
- Manage or renew your membership
- Confirm your arrival into the United States as a Global Entry member
If you already have a Trusted Traveler account, you don't need a new one: CBP says existing users sign in with their current credentials. CBP also notes that the services available can vary based on your program, eligibility, device and location.
How to schedule your Global Entry interview in the app
Get conditionally approved. As before, you can only book an interview after CBP conditionally approves your application.
Download the Trusted Traveler app from the App Store or Google Play, and sign in with your existing Trusted Traveler credentials.
Choose to schedule your interview, pick an enrollment center, and select an available date and time.
Bring your documents to the interview: your valid passport, plus proof of residency such as a driver's license.
Screens and wording may differ from version to version, so follow the prompts in the app.
Does the app make it easier to get an appointment?
It makes booking more convenient, but it doesn't add interview slots. Each enrollment center still has the same limited availability, so at busy centers new openings are usually cancellations that get picked up within minutes. Whether you book in the app or on the website, the hard part is still catching an opening before someone else does.
Snapslot watches enrollment centers for you and texts you the moment an earlier appointment opens up, so you can grab it in the Trusted Traveler app right away. Get Global Entry appointment alerts.
Other ways to complete your interview
Renewing? You may be able to interview by video
Some renewing Global Entry members who are conditionally approved can complete their interview by video call through CBP's Remote Interview Pilot. First-time applicants aren't eligible yet. See our guide to scheduling a remote Global Entry interview for the requirements.
Interview when you land: Enrollment on Arrival
If you're traveling internationally, you may be able to skip a separate appointment and complete your interview at the airport when you return to the U.S. Learn how in our guide to Global Entry Enrollment on Arrival.
